An eminent educationist and Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury has joined on afternoon April 30, 2017 as the Vice Chancellor of Primeasia University with the approval of the Honorable President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of universities.

Dr. Chowdhury was the Pro Vice Chancellor of Eastern University prior to joining at Primeasia University. He was the former Professor of the School of Business, Executive Director, Dean of the School of Business, Director of the BBA Program, Member of the Syndicate and the Director Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) of North South University. He has 29 years of teaching and research experience with various reputed institutions in Bangladesh, Canada, and the United States of America. He has worked as a faculty member at the University of Windsor, Canada, Northeastern University, Boston, USA, University of Calgary, Canada and at the Islamic University, Bangladesh. In 2014, he was made a visiting Professor of the Yunnan Normal University, China. He was awarded Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, USA in 1999 and M.S. in Operations Research from Northeastern University, USA in 1996. In 2001, he was awarded Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences (PIMS) Industrial post-doctoral fellowship and completed his research at the University of Calgary, Canada in 2002.
