Varendra University Launches Moot Court Club

Moot Court Club at VU

The Department of Law and Human Rights (LHR) of Varendra University (VU) in Rajshahi launched the Moot Court Club.

Advisor of the University Professor Dr. M. Saidur Rahman Khan inaugurated the Moot Court Club on October 14, 2015 with a view to enhancing competence and skills of the law students in competitive legal arena.

Earlier, at the morning on that day, the final round of a moot competition held at the University which was attended by dean of the Law Faculty of Rajshahi University (RU) Dr. Biswajit Chanda, head of RU Law department Associate Professor Dr. ANM Wahid, and coordinator of VU LHR dept Professor Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman.

Account BenefitDrahi Ishaq achieved the 'Best Mooter Award' while Tahura Raonak Saba were given the 'Best Researcher Award' in the competition.

Among others, VU Vice-Chancellor Professor Osman Ghani Talukdar, Pro-VC Professor Dr. Nurul Hossain Chowdhury, coordinator of Social Science department Professor Dr. AHM Mistafizur Rahman, teachers and students of the department were present at the inaugural session.
