Students cannot Get the Testimonial without Paying

Students paying to get testimonials

Students of Peerganj Pilot High School in Thakurgaon district cannot get the testimonial without pay. Students and guardians are become angry about this.

Students and guardians are complained that Tk. 200/- being taken from the students and guardians when they went to take Testimonial for HSC admission.

Student of that school, Tamim Ahmad said, the office asked him for two hundred taka for the testimonial. He has to take the testimonial by collecting money from his home due to not having the money with him.

Another student Taibur Masud said, "My father get Tk. 350/- by selling 40 kg of rice. I have to pay two hundred taka to get the testimonial. What will happen to those who are poor?"

When asked the Office Assistant Md. Badal about taking the money, he said, "It's the direction of Headmaster".

Account BenefitOn the other hand, it was found that the Peerganj Banik Government Girls High School not taking any money to give the testimonial. Headmistress of that school Halima Begum said, they are not taking any money due to not having any order from the board to take money from the students.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Tofazzal Hossain said regarding this, "The board was not given any instructions to take money in exchange of testimonials. Since, the money needed to print testimonials, so that the school authorities could take Tk. 50/-. However, he ensured that he will look at the matter.
