Some students become absorbed in the book at the library. Some of them are finding the required book by asking the librarian. One of them replies after asking her about the study in library said, "I am Tamanna Anwar, studying BBA. I want to complete my study in the campus. So at the end of the class I came to the library".

Some students are reading the wall magazine by the students 'Brainstorming' with concentration. Each of the activities of this university is like this.

Educational activity of this university is being conducted at Ramakrishna Mission Road (former Ittefaq Bhaban). Central Women's College was established in 1956. So the Central Women's University launched in 1993 in keeping with its motto, "An Enlightened Woman is a Source of Power", it aims to create a congenial environment for young women conducive to their intellectual, social and moral development. This is the premier university exclusively for women in Bangladesh. As an institution of higher learning and research that promotes ethical standards and values, CWU is committed to the ideas of equal opportunity, transparency and non-discrimination. The work of construction of its own campus is in the last stage. Vice-Chancellor of the University, Parveen Hassan said the brief history of this university.

The primary mission of CWU is to create an environment for women where they can pursue their academic, personal and career goals unhindered by unequal competition. This environment will be characterized by academic excellence in a range of subjects that are relevant to current and future professional and societal needs. CWU strives at making higher education affordable to all women by keeping fees at reasonable levels. Sensitive to the needs of its students and staff, CWU is committed to providing humane and congenial atmosphere for productive learning and innovative thinking.

Account BenefitSpecial features of the university are, highly qualified full time faculty, adjunct faculty from BUET, University of Dhaka and IBA, English proficiency development support, computer skills development program, well-designed and well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, student counseling and individual student care.

Students are admitted in University in three sessions - Spring, Summer, and Fall. Admission activity for the new session is underway in Sociology and Gender Studies, English, BBA and Computer Science. The last date of application is 18 September 2014.
