Adolescents of our country are facing moment of truth in high school as well as in higher education to choose their area of study where parents are playing an important role. Right selection could help a student to become successful where an unfortunate selection can destroy their career.

Social and economic factors have great influence to select a path but should we consider the factors or consider our interest?

In many cases, performances of students in higher education do not match with their previous results. They become inactive, de-motivated and frustrated which clearly reflected by their results and attitudes. Teachers feel sorry and try to save these students from the darkness of frustration but success stories are very rare. Every human being is unique and has a unique interest. For a certain period of time they can survive with the area, selected without considering their interest but not always. So, both parents and students need to be more aware before choosing major for higher education as well as the area of studies —Science, Humanities and Commerce in secondary level. They need to focus on the students' passion and should start research about career path considering the interest of students. Perfect selections enhance the possibility of success where a wrong selection could cause collapse of all possibilities.
