Orientation program at SEU

Fresher reception and orientation program of Spring Semester-2017 was held at Southeast University (SEU) on January 23, 2017 at its Permanent Campus in the city.

Around 1500 students enrolled in this semester. Registrar of SEU Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed, SPP, psc (Ret) welcomed newly enrolled students. He discussed about rules and regulations of the University.

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of SEU Professor Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin chaired the session while Advocate Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah, MP, Hon'ble Deputy Speaker, Bangladesh Parliament was present at the program as Chief Guest. He told the students that they should contribute in the advancement of their family, society and country by properly utilizing the hard-earned money of their parents.

Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Southeast University Trust attended the program as Special Guest. He inspired the students to make best use of their University life. He cautioned the newly admitted students not to involve themselves with militancy and terrorism.

Account BenefitProfessor Dr. M. Shamsher Ali, Professor Emeritus, SEU and Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, the Hon'ble Pro Vice-Chancellor of SEU were also present in the program and explained how students should endeavor themselves in academic curricula.

Dean of School of Science & Engineering Professor Syed Fakhrul Hassan and Dean of School of Arts & Social Sciences Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Hakim introduced their respective Schools to the students.

Among others, hon'ble members of the board of trustees, Southeast University Trust, Chairs of different departments, distinguished guests, senior academicians, faculty members, officials of SEU, newly enrolled students and their guardians were present at the program.
