10 Establishments of SUST to Get New Names

New names for SUST buildings

The decision of changing names of 10 establishments of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is going to be implemented after a decade.

In addition, the President also approved the 3rd convocation of the University in December 2017. SUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Aminul Haque Bhuiyan confirmed that on December 28, 2016 (Wednesday) at 5:00 pm.

A delegation team of the University Syndicate headed by the Vice-Chancellor made a courtesy call with University Chancellor and President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on December 27, 2016 (Tuesday). In the meantime, the President assured his presence in the next convocation.

Account BenefitThe Vice-Chancellor said, the President urged to strengthen research activities at the university to qualify the students for global competition.

He suggested naming the second student hall as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and take action about the naming of other buildings gradually.

Dr. Elias Uddin Biswas, Dr. Kabir Hossain, Dr. Sabina Islam, Dr. SM Hassan Jakirul Islam, Dr. Shamsul Alam (Senior Secretary), Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Education Md. Helal Uddin among others were in the delegation team.
