25 students awarded scholarship

The annual scholarship awarding program 2015 organized by Eastern University (EU) was held on October 24, 2016 at the EU Seminar Hall.

Members of the Board of Trustees of EU sponsor these funds for poor but meritorious students of the university. A total of 25 students were awarded scholarships for their excellence in academic performances in 2015.

Till date, the university has disbursed Tk. 35 corer in Scholarships, and Financial Aid to students. Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) was present as the Chief Guest.

Account BenefitProfessor Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of EU presided over the function while Chairman of the Board of Trustees of EU, Mr. Md. Azizul Islam was present as the Special Guest. Engineer Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Mohammed Ali Azzam, Members of BoT; Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Pro-VC; Treasurer; Registrar were spokes on the occasion.

Professor Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam, Members of BoT; Deans; Controller of Exam; scholarship recipient students and their guardians; teachers and officials of EU were present in the ceremony.
