88% failed in DU Kha-unit

Results of the entrance test for admission into Bachelor (Hons) courses under the Kha-unit of Dhaka University for session 2016-17 has been published on September 26, 2016.

A total of 33,255 students among 34,616 aspirants sat for the entrance test which was held on September 23, 2016. Of them, 3,800 students passed the test against 2,333 seats of the Kha-unit.

The pass rate is 11.43 percent. It means more than 88 percent of the candidates failed in the test. Besides, 879 applications were cancelled due to various irregularities.

Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique announced the results at the central admission office in the administrative building on the campus. The admission results and admission process can be viewed from the university website: (admission.eis.du.ac.bd).

Account BenefitTo get the admission test result through mobile phone SMS, a candidate will have to type: "du(space)kha(space)roll number" and send it to 16321. The students who have passed can get access to the university's website from September 28 to October 9 to select their subjects.

Besides, they will also be able to submit applications for re-evaluation of their results. Paying the designated amount of fee to the bank concerned at TSC, applicants can apply buying forms from the dean office under the Arts Faculty. Viva for the admission will start on October 16, 2016.
