BSMRSTU 1st Year Admission Tests Starts Oct 28

BSMRSTU 1st year admission test

The Bachelor (Hons) first year admission tests of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) under the session 2016-17 will begin on October 28, 2016.

The admission tests will be periodically held on October 29 and on November 4 and 5, 2016. In the current academic session, a total of 2 thousand 207 students (including quotas) will be admitted in 23 departments under the 8 Faculties.

The units are- A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. Admission tests of A and B unit will be held on October 28, 2016; C and H unit on October 29; D, E and F unit admission test on November 4 and G unit admission test will be held on November 05, 2016.

The candidates will be able to apply online according to the rules published on the university website: (http://www.bsmrstu.edu.bd/b/admission.php) from September 9 to October 18, 2016. Departments under the 'A' unit are- Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Chemistry & Chemical Engineering.

Account BenefitDepartments under the 'B' unit are- Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science & Disaster Management. Departments under the 'C' unit are- Pharmacy, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering; subjects under 'D' unit are- English and Bengali.

Departments under the 'E' unit are- Sociology, Public Administration, Economics and International Relations. Departments under the 'F' unit are- Management Studies, Accounting & Information Systems, and Marketing; subjects under 'G' unit is- Law and subjects under 'H' unit is- Agriculture.

This year, students will be admitted in additional quota of the main seats as 5 percent in Freedom Fighter Quota, 1 percent for disabled quota, 1 percent of dependant quota, 1 percent sport/cultural quota, and 1 percent for the small-ethnic groups quota.
