Agreement Signed between BUFT and Australian Universities

BUFT-Australian Varsities signs MoU

A high level delegation of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) headed by Mr. Muzaffar U. Siddique, the founder Chairman of BUFT visited Deakin University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) of Australia on as the part of ongoing Educational Research collaboration from 26 July to 31st July 2016.

During the visit two MoU were signed. On behalf of BUFT Mr. Muzaffar U. Siddique and Professor Guy Littlefair, Pro-Vice Chancellor Industry Development of Deakin University and Professor Andrew Maclntyre, Deputy Vice Chancellor Global Development & Vice President of RMIT University signed the MoU in terms of mutual interest like faculty and student exchange programs; credit transfer facilities; research and training facilities, internship program in Bangladesh and Australia etc.

In the signing ceremony among the other Members of Board of Trustees, BUFT Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP; Mr. Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), First Vice President, FBCCI; Mr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President of BGMEA; Mr. Faruque Hassan, Senior Vice President of BGMEA; Mr. SM Mannan (Kochi), Vice President of BGMEA; Mr. Mohammed Nasir, Vice President (Finance), BGMEA; Mr. Reaz-Bin-Mahmood, Former Vice President (Finance) of BGMEA and Professor Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUFT were present.

Account BenefitThere was a formal meeting session where BUFT team elaborated not only the role of the university in promoting RMG, Fashion & Textile related education in Bangladesh but also discussed various issues relating to the Textile and Fashion education & research in Australia. In the meeting they focused on joint research initiatives and joint international projects on Textile, Apparel and Fashion; faculty and student exchange programs; credit transfer facilities; research and training facilities etc. BUFT team at the end attended the program titled "BGMEA Road-Map to $50b Export" organized by RMIT.
