IBAISU can get hard punishment

A private university in Bangladesh- Darul Ihsan University has already been closed for various irregularities like selling certificates.

University Grants Commission UGC sources said, another private university is going to get punished for ownership dispute. The name of the university is IBAIS University.

The case on the university is waiting for to settle at the High Court. In response to verdict of the High Court, Education Ministry ordered the closure of Darul Ihsan University on July 26, 2016 (Tuesday). The university had a longstanding ownership dispute and certificates trade complaint.

IBAIS University also has similar charges. Lawsuit running over the ownership of the University for a long time. Zakaria Lingkon was the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University. He set up the temporary campus of IBAIS University in the residential area of Dhanmondi on 6th August 2002. A Board of Trustees was formed to manage the organization. His brother Kawsar Hossain Komet was in the trustee board.

Account BenefitKawsar Hossain Komet was taken the control of the University in the ending of year 2011. An industrialist's son was involved with him. Later, the two sides put several cases against each other.

An official of the UGC Act section said, cases were filed against many of the universities. Some of the defendants withdrawn the case and resolved the conflictions. And many cases have been settled on the court verdict. Now, the ownership conflict case of IBAIS University will be decided. All the activities are ended. Now, they're waiting for the verdict.

IBAIS University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir said, "The case is still ongoing. We are waiting for the verdict."
