Administration Set a New Date for NSTU Anniversary

New date for NSTU Day

The university administration has set a new date for the foundation anniversary of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU).

According to the changed date, the University Day will be observed annually on July 15 from now on. Over the last nine years, the University Day has been observed on June 22.

Like other years, everyone thought this year the University Day will be observed normally on June 22. There are mixed reaction among the university teachers, students and all concerned after announcing the new date on the tenth year of the university.

Sources of the university administration said about the date changing, Noakhali Science and Technology University officially started its journey on June 2006. But earlier, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved a University in Noakhali district in the cabinet on July 15, 2001.

The founding age of the university is fifteen years instead of eleven years as of the Noakhali Science and Technology University bill was approved in 2001. From that point of view, the university will step into 16 years on July 15, 2016.
