76 Arrested over Forgery in DAE Recruitment Test

76 arrested for forgery

The written test for the 3rd and 4th class recruitment in 1,578 vacant posts of the Directorate of Agricultural Extension (DAE) under the Ministry of Agriculture was held on February 05, 2016.

Some 76 people were arrested for attending the test as tenants. There are students of some colleges and job holders in Dhaka in addition to students from Dhaka University were among them.

None of them are close relatives that they went to do the misdeed. Those 76 went to attend the test as tenants offered from the known people, elders from living area, and coaching centers.

The concerned people said the incident of getting caught as hired candidates or fake examinees were occurred before in a variety of public service recruitment exams in the country. But this is the first time were caught 76 together.

Account BenefitOne of the young men arrested said, Tk. 500/- was given to him from a coaching center. Condition was, a satisfactory amount will be given if the corresponding candidate can pass.

Some says, they had to take the test as a humanitarian assistance to the poor and unemployed youths to get the job. But they did not imagine that they would go to jail.

Many of them were crying, when the arrested youths gathered at the Institute of Business Administration at Dhaka University. 70 among the 76 were handed to the police for sending them to the jail with different terms. And the 6 other were handed to the Shahbagh Thana Police for intense criminal investigation.
