BOU SSC Exams: 17 Students and 2 Teachers Expelled

17 BOU students expelled

Two teachers and 17 students were expelled in the district on Friday for resorting to unfair means in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under Bangladesh Open University (BOU) for the academic year 2015.

Deputy Commissioner M. Zillur Rahman Chowdhury caught the teachers and students red handed while visiting Lakshmipur Collegiate High School and Balika Bidya Niketan School centers at about 11:00 am on November 06, 2015.

Farhana Akter, Abdul Kaium, Zahirul Islam, Rakib Hossain, Saidul Islam, Yusuf Ali, Mumtaz Begum, Marium Bashar, Ayesha Akter, Rakib Hossain, Shaheen Akhtar, Hafiz Ullah, Al Mamun, Hasina Akter and Fazle Rabbi were among the expelled students.

Account BenefitOf the teachers, Abul Hossain, head teacher of Balika Bidya Niketan, was expelled for life and punitive action was taken against him. At the time, room supervisor Debrata Sarker and the headmaster of Balika Bidya Niketan School Abul Hossain were removed from their duty for the crime of helping the students with copying.

Huge guide books and note books were also recovered from the students. Punitive action will be taken against the headmaster Abul Hossain and exempted from all type of exam duties for life, said Deputy Commissioner.
