BSMRSTU Launches International Relations Department

BSMRSTU launches IR department

Many students have the dream of becoming a diplomat in the future. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) launched the International Relations (IR) department to achieve that target.

The new department has been added to the entrance exam for the academic session 2015-2016 under the Department of Sociology.

The honorable Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Khandakar Nasiruddin was assured to open this department at a publication ceremony 'Society and Progress'.

The demand for this subject is increasing to keep pace with other subjects due to the demand of manpower increases in embassies, international and domestic development organizations and increasing number of Bangladeshis in the international agencies.

Account BenefitInternational Relation is the subject of studying about international relations, politics, economy and culture etc. In addition, the theoretical and practical study of this department is interrelation between different countries, globalization, geopolitics, foreign policy, diplomacy and the activities of international organizations.
