Huge reformation in technical education

A huge reformation will bring in the technical education sector of Bangladesh.

The number of seats for each trade and human resource in all types of technical institutions and branches is increasing.

50 students can be admitted in each trade now. The number is 20 in the existing policy. In addition, the new post of co-superintendent has been created in the secondary vocational education institutions.

The minimum number of student is 25 in per trade in the case of MPO Listing. But, average 70 percent of the students must be passed examinations.

The Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Education (Technical) Ashok Kumar Biswas said, it has been discussed about overall condition with the concerned persons of all levels. Opinion from all concerned has been taken. Soon it will be possible to declare as a final decision.

Account BenefitThe policy and manpower structure is being corrected for reforming the vocational and technical education. The proposed revised policy has been increasing manpower, as well as several conditions. Where the institutions were getting MPO by ensuring 50 percent pass rate, but now it will increased to 70 percent.

The MPO policy of technical education institutions was modified on February 04, 2010 for the last time. The more time-befitting reformation has brought in the case of enlisting new educational institutions.
