Barisal University gets new VC

Government on Monday appointed SM Enamul Haque, Professor of Soil, Water and Environmental Science department at Dhaka University (DU), as the new Vice-Chancellor of Barisal University (BU).

Registrar (Acting) of Barisal University Monirul Islam confirmed the matter of Vice-Chancellor's appointment.

Education Ministry on May 25, 2015 (Monday) issued a circular regarding the appointment of Professor Enamul Haque as the VC of BU for the next four years.

The name of Professor Enamul Haque was announced as the Vice-Chancellor of Barisal University after one and seven days.

Account BenefitEarlier, Professor Dr. Harun-or-Rashid Khan from the same department of Dhaka University (DU) was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor of Barisal University.

University sources said, Professor Dr. Harun-or-Rashid Khan joined his previous workplace on June 18, 2015 after completing his full four-year term at Barisal University.
