Local brilliant students to get priority

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak has announced that the local brilliant students will get priority at under construction Jessore Software Technology Park (STP).

He said, brilliant students of Khulna University, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Jessore University of Science and Technology, MM College and other educational institutions will get priority for getting job here at the end of STP construction.

He made the announcement on May 23, 2015 (Saturday) while visiting the Jessore STP. In addition, those locals interested in working with technology will be given priority to the park, he said.

Junaid Ahmed Palak expressed his satisfaction at the construction work progress of Jessore STP said, Jessore STP will play a leading role to develop the information technology in Bangladesh. Jessore STP will be the dream of a new tomorrow to the brilliant students.

Account BenefitHowever, the construction of the steel structure of a four-storey building was completed in Jessore STP. Engineers and construction work related said that the 15-storey structure will be completed until June 2015. National Disaster Recovery Center will be set up in the park. Assessment for the center has been done. Now the infrastructure work will begin.

The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was promised to build an IT park during her visit to Jessore in December 2010. Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the project in February 2013 to construct Jessore Hi-Tech Park. And the expenses was determined to 48 crore taka. However, the High-Tech Park Authority later, demanded another 193 crore taka for full implementation of the project.
