Delegates from China at EU

A delegation of three members from Hangzhou Normal University, Zhejiang, China visits Eastern University (EU), Bangladesh on last 21st May (Thursday), 2015. The delegation comprised of Lyu Min, Director, Office of the International Students, Chen Yongqiang, Vice Dean, HANGZHOU Institute of Service Engineering and Mr. Md. Shofiqul Islam, Bangladeshi Representative of Hangzhou Normal University.

A meeting was arranged regarding on possible opportunities like academic collaboration, Scholarship, Credit Transfer, Mutual study tour facilities for EU students, Faculty exchange program, Organizing joint conference, Workshop, Symposium and other various issues. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice Chancellor of EU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Pro Vice Chancellor of EU, Maj Gen Kazi Ashfaq Ahmed, psc (Retd), Registrar of EU, Deans and Chairpersons of faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Business Administration, Head of Career Services and International Office of EU were participated in the discussion.

Account BenefitThrough the discussion, both Hangzhou Normal University and Eastern University exchange greetings and get acquainted with each other's culture, food, norms and behavior. Lyu Min, Director, Office of the International Students, gave a brief profile of his Hangzhou Normal University regarding campus module, course curriculum, graduate and under graduate programs, accommodation facilities, special facilities for foreign students.

At the end of the session Mr. Lyu confirmed a number of full scholarships to EU students which will take immediate effect after formalizing the agreement. Through this agreement a new era of opportunities will be open for the students to study and work in China.
