SUST Students Protests Invective to Professor Zafar Iqbal

SUST students protests rally

Students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) held a rally following a human chain on the campus protesting 'disparaging comment' of lawmaker Mahmud-us-Samad Chowdhury of Sylhet-3 against Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, head of the EEE Department of SUST.

The students formed human chain and held a rally in front of central library at 12:00 pm. A procession was also brought out from the same place that paraded the main streets of campus and ended at the same place.

Account BenefitSpeakers at the rally protested and condemned the remarks against Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal. They urged the President and the university authorities to suspend Samad Chowdhury from the university senate.

On the other hand, Shahjalal University Teachers Association (SUTA) condemned the statement against Professor Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal through a press release.
