The 18th Convocation of NSU Held amid Festivity

NSU holds their 18th convocation

The 18th convocation of North South University (NSU) was held in its own campus at Bashundhara, Dhaka on May 02, 2015 (Saturday).

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid presided over the ceremony and conferred degrees to 2,034 graduates while Professor Randy L. Beutler, president of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, delivered the convocation speech. These young people are receiving their degrees in a variety of fields.

Nine gold medalists, including valedictorian Muneera Chowdhury, from the undergraduate and graduate programs were awarded chancellor's and Vice-Chancellor's gold medals.

Professor Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury, chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), was the special guest. Graduating students, teachers, members of the Trustee Board and other dignitaries joined the convocation procession.

Among others, Benajir Ahmed, BOT Chairman; and Vice-Chancellor of the North South University Professor Amin U. Sarkar were present at the program.
