DU IBA Team Stratagem is the Country's Best

Four friends, chatting, smiling, music, wandering around together, everything is happened from the start of university life. But fighting together on a competition stage is for the first time.

And they had left behind big teams to win the competition. Their team 'Stratagem' becomes champion of the HSBC Business Case Competition-2015 for the Bangladesh stage. In the Bangladesh finale, the finalists received a business case and later presented their solutions and recommendations to a panel of judges.

The winning team in the Gold category was from the Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University; the winners are Abanti Shreya Saha, Mustafa Sian Hossain, Parashar Saha and Sabira Mehrin Saba.

The Gold category team will get the opportunity to compete in the regional grand finale in Hong Kong with other Gold teams from more than 15 Asian countries.

Three teams from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka (DU) won the HSBC Business Case Competition-2015 award in the Gold, Silver and Bronze categories. The Silver winners are Sajeed Alam, Ishmam Ahmed Chowdhury, Md Ayman Sadiq and Ghazi Kamrul Abedin, while the Bronze category winners are Sayem Faruk, Nandita Hore, Zeeshan Ahmed and M Samiul Haque.

Account BenefitChief Executive Officer of HSBC Bangladesh, Francois de Maricourt, handed over the trophies to the winning teams. The Gold, Silver and Bronze teams will receive a team development fund of Tk. 75,000, Tk. 50,000 and Tk. 35,000 respectively.

"The Business Case Competition is an important part of HSBC's sustainability initiatives aimed at building a better community", said HSBC Bangladesh CEO Francois de Maricourt.

"The young community of Bangladesh has tremendous potential, and we are proud to support them in their development endeavors", he said.

British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Robert W. Gibson was present at the program as the chief guest. "HSBC Bangladesh - IBA Business Case Competition 2015" was open to all undergraduate business school students of Bangladesh to participate. The HSBC Bangladesh - IBA Business Case Competition is designed to encourage young people to unleash the power of their potential.
