Day-long Career Boot Camp at NSU

A "Career Boot Camp" organized by the Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) of the North South University (NSU) for the students with support of Grameenphone.

Sessions on smart CV writing techniques, interview tips and tricks and interview simulation was in the day-long workshop. The sessions were conducted by the HR professionals and different functional leaders from Grameenphone.

A total of 200 students from different departments of NSU participated in the workshop and got on-campus recruitment opportunities.

In the opening ceremony, Benajir Ahmed, Chairman and Founder Life Member, NSU Trust was the Chief Guest, while Quazi Mohammad Shahed, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grameenphone, was present as the Special Guest. The program was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and CEO of NSU, Professor Amin U. Sarkar.

Account BenefitSpeakers at the workshop focused on corporate networking, mutual collaboration and different aspects of career building besides interactive discussions. HR Professionals and NSU alumni from Grameenphone appreciated the initiative for imparting knowledge to the potential corporate executives from NSU.

Grameenphone last year introduced a management trainee program titled 'Next Business Leader' and under the program 18 fresh graduates were employed. As part of Telenor Group, employees of Grameenphone also have scope to work for other business units of Telenor. Currently 23 such employees are working in Asia and Europe.
