AUB Observes 19th Founding Anniversary on Jan 4

19th founding anniversary of AUB

Asian University of Bangladesh (AUB) has observed its 19th founding anniversary on January 4, 2015.

The anniversary celebration began with cutting a cake. Founding VC of AUB Professor Dr. Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadeq was present there as the chief guest while his wife Saleha Sadeq and Chairman of Trustee Board Dr. Md. Zafar Sadeq were also present at the founding ceremony inauguration.

Dr. Sadeq thanked all for being with the university for 19 years. In his speech he focused on the history of AUB in this long run. Registrar Md. Kuddus Khan presided over the program which held at Ayesha Auditorium while PRO of the university Md. Imtiaz moderated.

Account BenefitAsian University of Bangladesh (AUB) received formal approval of the Government of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh on 4 January 1996 as a degree-awarding university under the Private University Act, 1992. The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh and the Government of Bangladesh, and also accredited overseas.

Formation of the university was proposed in 1990 by the founder of AUB, Dr. Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadeq.
