Orientation Program Held at IUB for Autumn Trimester

Orientation Program at IUB

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized an orientation program on September 06, 2014 at its permanent campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka, for the newly admitted students of the Autumn trimester.

In his short speech, Professor M. Omar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor, welcomed the students and urged them to contribute to the society, country and humanity. He also went over the differences between instruction and education. He said that without failure there would not be any growth and education is all about making difference.

Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business; Dr. Ali Shihab Sabbir, Dean, School of Engineering and Computer Science; Professor M. Ali Hossain, Dean, School of Environmental Science and Management; Professor Zakir Hossain Raju, Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Dr. Rita Yusuf, Dean, School of Life Sciences and Dr. Tanvir A. Khan, Registrar, also spoke to the newly admitted students on the occasion.

Account BenefitThe program was conducted by Priyanka Dey, Assistant Director, Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid of IUB.

Later the newly admitted students visited different schools, departments, library, laboratories etc. Apart from the students, their parents, guardians, members of the faculty and management of IUB were present on the occasion.
