Canada to help our Technical Education

Canada will collaborate in technical education of Bangladesh, said the Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka Miss Heather Cruden. Canadian High Commissioner expressed her interest to the Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid in a meeting at his office. Second Secretary of the Canadian High Commission, Miss Laurie Samilak presents at the meeting.

Minister said, "Despite the many limitations in last five years we successfully brought the discipline in education sector like the national education policy announcement, books were given to the primary and secondary level by 1st January, to the start of continuous classes, takes admission tests and results in 60 days". Our primary level enrollment rate is over 99%, but it's a challenge to retain them in class.

Account BenefitHe said, "The tech sector has already made considerable but this sector requires extensive development. The Skills & Training Enhancement Project works with $ 11.10 million funding by the Government of Canada and Skills for Employment & Productivity Project has been formulated by the contribution of Canadian SEDAR. It will be approved soon". He urged upon the Government of Canada to the development of vocational education.
