1st Convocation Held

The 1st convocation of Presidency University was held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on April 11, 2013.

On behalf of the chancellor, Education Adviser to the Prime Minister Professor Dr. Alauddin Ahmed conferred degrees on the graduates.

Professor Dr. Jamilur Raza Chowdhury made the convocation speech while Professor Sharif Enamul Kabir, member of Public Service Commission, attended the program as the special guest.

Board of Trustees Chairperson Moazzam Hossain, university Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Board of Trustees members Professor Mahbub Ahmed, M Amanullah, Tazneen Aman, Ilya Raaz Hossain and Fauzia Ahmed were present in the programme.

In his speech, Professor Mahboob Ali said the objective of Presidency University is to meet the rapidly increasing demand for human resource development and Presidency University is working hard to achieve the goal.

A total of 995 students from the School of Business, School of Engineering and School of Liberal Arts under eight programs received degrees in different disciplines.
