Admission Process Begins at CIU

Admission for Summer-2013 is now open at Chittagong Independent University (CIU).

The last date of application is May 20, 2013 while the admission test will be held on May 22, 2013.

However, Classes will begin from June 9, 2013.

Students will be able to admit in the following honors courses at CIU - BBA in Finance, Accounting, International Business, General Management, Marketing, HRM, MIS; BSc in EEE, ETE, CS, CSE and BA in English Language & Literature.

Admission eligibility for undergraduate programs - minimum GPA of 3.00 in SSC & HSC, O level in 5 subjects and A level in 2 subjects, Engineering students must have Math & Physics in their HSC or equivalent Level.

The master's courses of CIU are - MBA in Finance, Marketing & HRM.

Admission eligibility for Graduate programs are - 3-year bachelor degree from a reputed university and at least one year of work experience in a managerial & executive post or 4 year Bachelor degree from a reputed university, a CGPA of at least 2.50 at undergraduate or graduate level with no 3rd division in any previous exams, acceptable score in CIU admission test.

However, special financial assistance is available for the offspring of freedom fighters.

Earlier, Chittagong Independent University (CIU) was the Chittagong campus of Independent university, Bangladesh. But in February 2013, it got the approval of UGC as a separate university.
