Study loan at Eastern University

Eastern University (EU) was established in 2003 under the Private University Act 1992, as amended in 1998. It was approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh and by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The University was set up by Eastern University Foundation - a non-profit, non-political and philanthropic organization. Its founders include academics, chartered accountants, engineers, industrialists and retired civil servants. At present, the Foundation has 30 members.

Students can pay Semester fee (full semester payment) either in one installment or in by three installments in a semester. 100% tuition fee waiver for children of Freedom Fighters, 10% special tuition fee waiver for female students, 15% special waiver for tribal students, 25% special waiver for physically disadvantaged and acid victim students, 25% special waiver for brother/sister, husband/wife on all programs and 10% special waiver for CSE, EEE(Day), EEE(Day), EEE(Eve.) & ETE students.

The University gives soft interest-free study loans to deserving students on affordable terms which will be recovered by easy installments from their salary or income when employed.

Account BenefitEastern University hires top-of-the class, talented graduates as junior faculty, experienced teachers and researchers as senior faculty and professionally accomplished teachers and experts as part-time faculty. The University has over 100 full time faculty members. In addition, there are 55 part-time faculty members including visiting professor from USA and other countries.

The University campus is located in the prime area of Dhanmandi and is easily accessible from any part of Dhaka and outskirts by public transportation as well as taxi cab, auto-rickshaw and rickshaw.
