Job category:
A lot of work fields are available for a Chemist. In almost every sector, whether it is food or luxury product, needs for Chemist is everywhere. The product quality is ok or not, how it can be further improved, how the new products to be produced, new product innovation, all these are the work of a Chemist.

In addition, a Chemist reviewing sampling, material analysis, chemical analysis, chemical test, packaging material analysis, and grading check. In addition, invention of new processes and invent the process of use those in practical field also the work of a Chemist. There is a great work opportunity for Chemists in the Medicine industry.

Job field:
A large employment field is available in this sector as well as a large field of work. There are ample opportunities of employment for a Chemist in various chemical industry, textile industry, fertilizer factories, paper mills, sugar mills, glass and ceramics industry, paints industry, food and beverage companies, cosmetics companies, cement factories, tanneries, industrial, pharmaceutical industries as well as in almost all cases. Educational qualification:
Md. Mustafa Hassan said, candidates must have study on chemistry, applied chemistry, microbiology, pharmacy etc. to work as a Chemist. Candidates should be passed at least Honors level for entry level jobs. Candidates must be passed at least Master's degree to apply for the post of Quality Controller and minimum honors completed for Sales and Marketing. Candidates should obtain minimum CGPA 3.00 (out of 4.00 Scale) for entry level jobs.

Additional qualification:
A Chemist must be very patient as well as the educational qualifications. In this case, most of the work is practical so he/she must be skilled in practical laboratory work, and have eager attitude in analysis.

Salaries, allowances and other facilities:
A salary of 20 to 28 thousand is considered for a Chemist in primary condition. The chance of promotion and salaries has increased accordingly with the qualifications and experience increases.

Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Comilla University, Jagannath University, Rajshahi University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, BUET, KUET, National University and almost every government university has the opportunity to study in variety of subjects of chemistry.
