The University of Melbourne in Australia is offering a great opportunity for the international students who decided to start a Masters program after Bachelor degree.

The world famous university is offering international scholarships for research in postgraduate programs. Bangladeshi students also will be able to take part in this scholarship program titled "Melbourne International Research Scholarship (MIRS)".

Duration:
The duration of the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) is up to two years for a student undertaking a master by research degree and up to three years, with one possible six month extensions, for students undertaking a doctorate by research degree.

The Australian Postgraduate Award provides for the following benefits:
A living allowance of $25,849 per annum for full time students or $12,924 per annum for part-time students (2015 rate). A relocation grant of $2,000 for the students who need to move from outside Victoria or $3,000 for students who need to move from outside Australia to study at the University of Melbourne. A thesis allowance of up to $420 for students undertaking a Master by research degree or up to $840 for students undertaking a Doctoral degree. Limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.

Eligibility:
You must be an international applicant (ie. a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, and not an Australian permanent resident); have completed tertiary studies that are at least equivalent to a 4-year honors degree at an Australian university with a minimum result of first class honors; have applied for admission to undertake a master or doctorate by research degree or be currently enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne; have not already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level as the course for which a scholarship is sought.

Account BenefitCurrent the University of Melbourne students must have at least 12 months full-time or equivalent candidature remaining. Students enrolled in the M.Psych/PhD or the SJD are eligible to apply from the second year of the course.

Application Process:
Current University of Melbourne students who are enrolled in a research degree for which they wish to receive an Australia Postgraduate Award must apply through the Student Portal. All other students must complete an Application for Admission to Graduate Research Degree Candidature and Scholarship.

Deadlines:
