Planetor Bangladesh, A Big Dream with the Robots

Rini Ishan and Rakib Reza are the fans of Robot and Science Fictions from an early age. The trend was continued with full throttle at the university after passing school and college.

Rakib Reza from Mechanical Engineering Department of BUET and Rini Ishan from Mechanical Engineering Department of CUET have formed an organization named "Planetor Bangladesh" after the end of education life. The Chief Executive Officer of this organization is Rini and Chief Technology Officer is Rakib. They are both in the selected speakers at the 'Tedxdhaka 2014' event.

They were started working practically on Robot's from their second year of bachelor course in 2010. Rakib was placed 3rd and Rini 4th at the Inter University Robotics Competition in 2011 among 24 participants. After that, Rini was took part in the Robot Competition of US space agency NASA.

Rini said about the 'Planet Bangladesh', the organization was built from the thinking-we wanted to create a platform for those who want to work with the Robots.

Hassanul Islam and Kaiser Raihan are also in this four member's organization. Now the Robot making and training work is running with full throttle. Rakib said, we have trained almost 700 people so far. Students of private-public universities and young employed are in this list.

Account BenefitTele Presence, Humancar, Welding Robots are the significant works of this organization. Tele Presence Robot can be used at the home, office or for surveillance. When the boss is out of the office and can't return, then the robot is able to administer the office. A working woman can keep looking in the home regularly from outside. And the Humancar Robot itself can take any shape. It can walk anytime and formulated in car by itself.

Rini and Rakib thinks about to bring Robots in the world of entertainment in near future. When the movies like Zoorassic Park and Iron Man being made by the Hollywood, they believed that such technology can be used in Bangladeshi cinema. Also they are thinking about the robot servicing center.

Another big dream of Planetor Bangladesh is to export Robots. However, they have recently been signed with the four organizations of Bangladesh to supply Robots. They are continuing to build robots with the money obtained from the training.

Rakib said, since it is so expensive for Robots related works, and it is possible to move forward more quickly if the government initiatives or cooperation of private sector to promote.
