Walking of Mechatronics begins at RUET

Mechatronics is one of the well-known subjects in the world. Mechatronics is the combination of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Computer Science. Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Controlling, Micro Electro Mechanical System, Opto-Mechanism etc subjects are come up in the Mechatronics.

The Mechatronics Engineering Department has started its journey at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) from the academic session 2013-2014. This is the first BSc course in Mechatronics Engineering started at RUET among the public universities of Bangladesh. The journey begins with 30 students.

This is the first batch, so it did not own the academic building yet, the development work of the infrastructure is starts slowly. The goal of the students is to move forward with the Mechatronics subject and utilizing the gained knowledge to develop the country.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Farid Haque is the head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department. He said, "There is no alternate of Mechatronics to keep the pace with the latest technology in the world. The subject has become quite popular in the context of Bangladesh. Globally the subject demand is comprehensive. There are plenty of opportunities for higher education".
