Applications are invited from prospective students to join a full-time regular MS program in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry. The duration of the program is one academic year. There are thirty seats. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

• Four years of graduation in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Geology, “Soil, Water & Environment”, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Textile Engineering, Engineering from any Discipline of “Leather engineering & Technology”.

• Applicants who have earned 4 years BS/BSc(Honors)/BSc Engineering from public universities must have minimum CGPA 2.50 out of 4.00 and applicants from private universities must have minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00.

• Students from private universities which are black listed by UGC are NOT eligible to apply.

• Students from public universities who have completed all examinations of 4 years program but their result has not been published yet can apply giving their “Appeared” certificate. But the selected candidates will have to submit “BS/BSc(Honors)/BSc Engineering” passed certificate before admission.

• Applicants must have a minimum First Division or GPA 3.50 out of 5.00 or equivalent grades in both SSC and HSC or in equivalent examinations.

• Students who are currently studying MS/MSc can also apply but the students who have already appeared or passed MS/MSc are NOT eligible to apply.

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their admission test results. An admission test will be taken on physical, inorganic, organic, analytical chemistry and calculus.
